Spicy Beef Noodle Stir-fry

Step by step

Method

  1. 01

In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef with 15g soy sauce, 5g cornstarch, 1g salt, and 1g black pepper. Mix well and set aside to marinate for at least 10 minutes.

  2. 02

Cook the pasta according to package directions using 500g water. Drain thoroughly and set aside.

  3. 03

In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining 45g soy sauce, 50g water, 5g cornstarch, brown sugar, chili powder, and rice vinegar to create the stir-fry sauce.

  4. 04

Heat 15g canola oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and mostly cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

  5. 05

Add the remaining 15g canola oil to the same skillet. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced onion. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  6. 06

Add the broccoli florets and julienned carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.

  7. 07

Add the sliced bell pepper and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.

  8. 08

Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Pour the prepared stir-fry sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and coats everything, about 1 minute.

  9. 09

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce and heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as needed.

  10. 10

    Serve immediately.
